Young Guns: Weekly update - Monday 20th May.

Daniel Alfei (Swansea City - defender) Has signed a new two year contract - commiting hismelf to the club until 2016.  The Wales U21 international spent a period on loan at Wrexham last season and will look to try and emulate colleague Ben Davies and break into the senior side.
"I'm absolutely delighted.  It's good to know the club has faith in me and there is nowhere I would rather be than Swansea.  The loan spell at Wrexham was great for me. It's a good club and I really believe I learnt a lot there this season. It's made me a better player."

Tom Bradshaw (Shrewsbury - striker) Has been offered another contract at the club and is eager to stay - but is keen for more chances next season.
I've got to talk to the gaffer and the chairman and my agent.  I want to stay, but I hope to get a lot more starting time.
I've done everything I can in the reserves. Everything in training is geared towards a game and, if you're not playing, it can get very frustrating."
Chris Dawson (Leeds - midfielder) Has signed a new three year deal after impressing during a break through season at Elland Road.
"I'm really pleased at how my season has gone and this is a reward at the end of it."

Ryan Doble (Shrewsbury - midfielder) Has been released by Shrewsbury after only a year at the club.
Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers - striker) Has been offered a new contract at the club after making his first team debut this season.  The Wales U21 international made 13 appearances for The Pirates.

James Hartson (Portsmouth - striker) Has been released by Pompey and is in the process of getting over a knee injury.

Jordan Holt (St Mirren - defender) the Wales U19 defender is another youngster in a long line who will be looking for a new club after being released by St Mirren.
Lloyd Isgrove (Southampton - midfielder) Was out on the field warming up with the senior team after manager Mauricio Pochettino invited the Wales U21 international for the trip to Sunderland.
"Loved today! Great experience, head down & hard work to get me to the next stage." Twitter @lloyd_isgrove
Gethin Jones (Everton - midfielder) Contributed two assists as the U18's drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace U18's on Tuesday night.  The draw guaranteed the Toffees a place in the end of season play-offs.
Lloyd Jones (Liverpool - defender) Travelled with the first team to Fulham over the weekend as Brendan Rodgers gave another youngster a chance to sample life with the seniors.  The Wales youth international was an unused sub in the 3-1 win.  It's slightly unclear whether we will see him in a red shirt again after withdrawing from the Wales U19 squad, stating that he wanted time to consider his options.  According to reports, Jones has been offered a three year professional contract at the club.

Tom Lawrence (Man Utd - midfielder) Two runs behind the Liverpool U21 defence and was brought down for two penalties as the U21's beat Liverpool 3-0 at Old Trafford.  Lloyd Jones (Liverpool - defender) & Danny Ward (Liverpool - goalkeeper) both started for the visitors.
James Loveridge (Swansea City - striker) Scored a hat-trick as the U19's clinched the FAW Youth Cup with a 7-4 win against West End on Thursday night.  He was joined on the scoresheet by Corey Francis (Swansea City - defender) & Henry Jones (Swansea City - midfielder) & Alex Samuel (Swansea City - striker)

Richard Peniket (Fulham - striker) Returned to his parent club after a spell with Farnborough and scored for the U21's in the 2-2 draw with Brighton.  Unfortuntaley, the Wales youth international will be looking for a new club over the summer after being released by Martin Jol.
I kept him on board for two years but he was not playing in our reserve team because we had other players," manager Martin Jol said.
"It was not easy for him but he justified my decision to keep him. However, it is still a different level - it is not the Premier League so we have to make decisions on these players." Martin Jol

Josh Rees (Arsenal - midfielder) Is on a two week trial at Hearts according to manager Gary Locke.  Rees had previously spent time on loan at Brentford.
"Josh recommended to us and they're up to train for a week so we can get a closer look. There's nothing else to report. We're not looking to offer anybody contracts at the moment. We've got these two lads up for training and we'll see how they do. Every club is the same. You get a couple of recommendations, but it's difficult for us to get down and watch games in England now because there aren't many at this time of the year. We'll get a look at these boys and see how they do." Gary Locke, Hearts Manager

Will Roberts (Coventry - midfielder) After a frustrating season has been released by manager Steven Pressley.  Roberts who made an appearance for the first team on the last day of the season - has not figured at all under new manager Pressely, and will now look to find another club.

Jake Taylor (Reading - midfielder) Scored with a well taken free kick as the U21's drew their final game of the season against Brighton.
