Adam Davies (Sheff Weds - goalkeeper) Was on the bench as the Owls lost 2-1 against Burnley at Hillsborough.
Lee Evans (Wolves - midfielder) Played 90 minutes as Wolves drew their opening League One game against Preston. Evans played 90 minutes. Evans was on the score sheet in his second League One start - the Wales U21 international striking his sides second in a 4-0 win against Gillingham.
Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers - striker) Started both opening games of the season in the League Two and Capitol One Cup......
Elliott Hewitt (Ipswich - defender) Started for Ipswich as they lost 2-1 to Reading last weekend. Hewitt has battled back from injury to create an impression on manager Mick McCarthy and could well end up getting considerable game time this season. The Wales U21 international started again as Ipswich beat Millwall 3-0.
Declan John (Cardiff City - defender) Has been given an opportunity to
replace suspended full back Andrew Taylor for the Premier League opener
with West Ham. John impressed last weekend against Chievo and played 90
minutes in the 2-1 win against Athletic Club today.
Tom Lawrence (Man Utd - midfielder) Celebrated an U21 call up with a hat-trick as a Red Devils XI beat Ramsbottom 4-2.
Aaron Phillips (Coventry - defender) Made his senior League One debut as The Sky Blues crashed 3-2 to Crawley Town on the opening weekend of the season. Phillips played the last 10 minutes of the defeat.
George Ray (Crewe - defender) Was another Wales U21 international to start for his club last weekend. The young defender played 90 minutes in the 3-3 draw with Rotherham. Ray also started in midweek as the Railwaymen were beaten 3-2 by Bury.
Dominic Smith (Shrewsbury - defender) Was an unused sub as the Shrews lost 3-0 to free scoring Leyton Orient.
Louis Thompson (Swindon - defender) Started the Capitol One Cup fixture with Torquay. The Wales U19 international played 90 minutes in the 1-0 win.
Joe Walsh (Crawley Town - defender) Continued his impressive development with a goal as Crawley opened their League One campaign with a 3-2 win over Coventry. Walsh had been linked with several clubs over the summer and was once again on the score sheet on the second weekend of the season - bagging a brace in a 3-3 draw with Tranmere.
