The Football Association of Wales agrees travel partnership with Gullivers Sports Travel.

    FAW press release.

The Football Association of Wales has agreed a three-year partnership with the UK’s leading sports tour operator, Gullivers Sport Travel, which will include travel for Welsh fans planning to go to next summer’s finals in France.

With unprecedented numbers expected to make the trip to the UEFA EURO 2016 Championship, Gullivers Sport Travel, who will become the FAW’s Official Travel Partner, will offer a range of options for Wales’s supporters, including day-return by coach as well as flight packages and extended tours for various durations of stay.

The draw for the finals takes place on 12th December. Once the cities where Wales will be playing are known, information on travel options will be communicated to supporters.

Travel packages with tickets will not be available through Gullivers Sport Travel. The FAW is currently working with UEFA on a priority-based ticket allocation for the finals based on purchases made throughout the qualifying campaign. The window for applying for tickets opens on 14th December.

Gullivers will offer a form of money-back guarantee if fans find a travel package cheaper after booking or do not secure a match ticket.

Jonathan Ford, CEO of FAW, said: “With Wales having qualified for a major tournament for the first time in over 50 years, it was important to work with an experienced travel partner that would offer a first-class service to the many thousands of supporters hoping to make the trip to France.

“Gullivers Sport Travel, the industry-leader, fits that bill and I have no doubt that they will provide flexible, affordable packages, enabling many of our fantastic fans to see the team at the finals next summer.”
