Young Guns: Weekly update - Saturday 20th April.

Wes Burns (Bristol City - striker) Was back on duty with the first team on Tuesday night - the Wales U21 international stepped off the bench with 15 minutes to go as the Robins were relegated to League One with a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham.

    Luke Chambers (Southend - goalkeeper)
Has been recalled from his loan spell at Concord Rangers after Paul Smith was struck by a virus.

    Chris Dawson (Leeds - midfielder)
Will miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery this week.  The Wales U21 international has had an impressive season and will be keen to make an impression on new manager Brian McDermott.

    Lee Evans (Wolves - midfielder)
Scored as the U21's took the lead against Arsenal this week.  Evans scored an equaliser with a header from a Jordan Cranston (Wolves - defender) corner.  Unfortunately it was a point they couldn't hang on to as the Gunners scored a winner deep into injury time as Sanchez Watt (Arsenal - striker) returning from a long term injury sneaked free to squeeze a shot under the keeper.

Gethyn Hill (Cardiff City - striker) & Kane Owen (Cardiff City - defender) & Josh Yorwerth (Cardiff City - defender)
Signed their first professional contracts with Cardiff City this week and can now look forward to a summer of stability as they start to build careers at Cardiff City stadium.

    Aaron Amadi-Holloway (Bristol City - defender/midfielder/striker)
Made a long overdue appearance after injury against Ipswich this week.  The Wales youth international who has suffered from series of injuries played 46 minutes in the 4-1 defeat.

    Nathan Jones (Tranmere - goalkeeper)
Got the dreaded news that he wouldn't be offered a contract at Prenton Park.  The young keeper will now try his luck in the States.

    Kyle Letheren (Kilmarnock - goalkeeper)
Will not be retained for next season and will spend the summer looking for a new club.  Letheren has played 9 times for the first team this season.

    George Ray (Crewe - defender)
Made a second half appearance as the Railwaymen suffered an uncomfortable night away at Swindon.  With his team 3-0 down, Ray was brought into the defence to try and stem the tide.  His side eventually lost 4-1.

Mason Spence (MK Dons - defender)
Made an appearance for Colchester U21's this week as he tried to earn a contract after being released by MK Dons this week.  Spence picked up a couple of assists in the 4-0 win over QPR.
