Match Report
A John Hartson header two minutes into the second half gave Wales a deserved victory against Belarus in Cardiff. Wales who showed five chances from the side that lost in Oslo a month earlier started well with both Craig Bellamy and Simon Davies missing easy chances.

Wales dominated territory and possession with Paul Jones a lone spectator for most the game. Hartson's goal early in the second half came from a flowing three man as Mark Delaney carried the ball out of defence, he fed Simon Davies on the right his pinpoint right wing cross on the run was meet by Hartson who buried his header low into the corner.

In the end the 1- 0 scoreline did not reflect Wales' performance which could have resulted in at least a winning margin of 3 or 4 goals.
