Match Report
A Mark Pembridge strike 16 minutes from time earned Wales a 1-1 draw in Kiev. This was a much better performance that the one against Poland four days earlier. Wales started well but were dealt a blow in the first-half as Mark Delaney limped off with a hamstring injury, but the players fought back in the second half and kept their shape and got a well deserved equaliser.

So we came away with a point but it could have easily been three, it has left many yet again thinking of what could have been. In the last nine months Wales have played four away games in Eastern Europe and only lost once but alas still waiting that elusive victory.

Reaction
We are very disappointed not to have won the game. I'm so pleased for my players because they are a great bunch of lads. My players gave an extraordinary performance, given it was the last game of a very long season.- Mark Hughes on the game.

We have come away three times now in four games in eastern Europe with draws.
