RESULT: Wales..2 Slovakia..0 - 21.04.2006
the second of their two games this week, Wales ran out convincing 2-0 winners
with goals from Craig Mason & Nathan Hughes. Wales can thank a superb
defensive performance in the first half that laid the foundation for the
victory. In the second half Wales could have more than doubled their tally, with
good chances from Sam Hart, Gerwyn Jones, and Tom Roberts.
The two sides
last met in a series in 2004, with Slovakia winning 7 - 0. Todays result is a
sure sign that the FAWT / WSFA programme is taking effect.
