Wales football news - July 2000.
 Mark Hughes looking forward.
Mark Hughes is looking forward to Wales' World Cup qualifying campaign. They begin in September away to Belarus.

It's a group that has some good sides in it and some very good individual talents within the teams.

 Paul Jones returns.
Paul Jones is now back in training and has targeted Wales' match against Belarus in September for a return to action. He has been out since April after undergoing back and knee surgery.

I worked hard for my Welsh place and I don't want to lose it. My aim is to play regularly again for Southampton so that I can start for Wales in Belarus next September.
