Wales football news - July 2001.
 Petition on the go.
Barry Town in League of Wales action. A petition has been started to protest against the removal of almost all-domestic football coverage on the BBC for the forthcoming season.

Adding their support to the petition so far is Swansea City manager John Hollins who signed it during the friendly against Aberystwyth last night.

 Norway Preparation.
Blake goal celebration against Norway. Preparations are under away for the last qualifying game away from home in the 2002 World Cup.

The team will travel Norway at the beginning of September having played Armenia in Cardiff four days earlier.

A large following is expected to travel out to Oslo. The match will be played at the Ullevall Stadium, a 25,000 seater stadium situated about 10 minutes from the City Centre. Ticket prices should be around £23 each but this has yet to be confirmed.

Wednesday, July 11th 2001. the sun.
 "Singing area".
Will these fans be singing? A meeting was held last week between the FAW and the Millennium Stadium regarding the proposed "singing area" section for the forthcoming match against Armenia.

Negotiations went well and the proposed plans for the area will be published shortly.

Discussions are also progressing with bands to perform prior to the Armenia and Belarus matches.
