3 Emerging Welsh Footballers to Keep an Eye On

Wales has been blessed with some of the greatest footballers that have ever graced the game. From Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy to Gareth Bale, there is no shortage of heroes in Welsh football. However, while these legends continue to grace the pitch, there are a few rising stars who could be the future of the Welsh Football Club. Let’s take a look at three emerging young players that could be the next generation of Welsh greats.

Rubin Colwill – Winger for Cardiff City Football Club

Rubin Colwill is a 20-year-old winger who plays for Cardiff City in the English Championship. He made his debut for the club in 2018 and has since become a regular starter in their lineup. He was part of the Wales squad during the 2022 FIFA World Cup and made an impressive contribution to their run in the tournament. His pace and technical ability make him an exciting prospect for Wales going forward.

Luke Harris – Midfielder for Fulham FC

Luke Harris is a 17-year-old footballer who plays as a midfielder for Fulham FC. He joined Fulham in 2017 from Cardiff City where he had been playing since 2014. He is known for his ability to find himself at the right spots on the pitch and score goals when needed. He also has great vision which helps him create opportunities for his teammates and open up spaces on the field.

Eddie Beach – Currently on loan to Chelmsford City

Eddie Beach is 19 years old and currently on loan to Chelmsford City from Chelsea FC. He started his career as a 15 year old at Southampton, before his Chelsea move. He is considered one of Wales’ brightest prospects as a goalkeeper, with the potential to be among greats like Neville Southall, Gary Sprake, and Dai Davies who were all part of legendary Welsh sides back in their days.
