    Young Guns: Weekly update - Sunday 10th February

    Callum Antell (Hibernian - goalkeeper) Has signed on loan with East Fife until the end of the season as he looks to get more first team experience.

    Tom Bender (Colchester - defender) Has been been released by mutual consent after failing to nail down a place in the match day squad.

    Wes Burns (Bristol City - midfielder) Made another appearance off the bench as Bristol City lost 2-0 to Blackburn last weekend. Burns, who will play for the U21's next week, stepped off the bench after 83 minutes.

    Jake Cassidy (Wolves - striker) Will stay at Molineux after manager Dean Saunders announced that the young striker would play his part during the end of season run in.
    "Jake is going to be a good player. I've worked with him now for three or four weeks and he can do most things. He's got a lot of tools and I think he's going to play his part for us this season," Dean Saunders

    Michael Doughty (QPR/St Johnstone - midfielder) Made his first start for his new club against St Mirren in the Scottish Cup last weekend. Doughty played 59 minutes in his sides 2-0 defeat. Gwion Edwards (St Johnstone - midfielder) & Paul Dummett (Newcastle/St Mirren - defender) both made appearances off the bench in the second half.

    Jordan Evans (Fulham - midfielder) Scored his sides fifth as they beat Southampton U18's 5-1 last Saturday morning.

    Lee Evans (Wolves - midfielder) Made his debut for the development team as they lost 1-0 to WBA this week. He was joined in the starting XI by Jordan Cranston (Wolves - defender). Liam O'Neil (WBA - defender) also played 90 minutes for the opposition.

    Lloyd Isgrove (Southampton - midfielder) Struck with a header for his second of the season as the U21's got off to a good start against Man Utd last Saturday. Unfortunately for the Saints a mistake led to a Tom Lawrence (Man Utd - midfielder) as the Red Devils ran out 3-1 winners.

    Alex Nicholson (Newcastlw United) made a successful return from injury after 14 weeks out with a leg injury coming on as sub in the 49th minute. He will now go to Italy to play in the Torneo di Viareggio to build up match fitness.
