    Under 17 Elite round 2013/2014

    Wales Under 17
    UEFA Under 17 2013/2014 Elite round draw.

    Wales have been drawn in Group 1 alongside Spain, Switzerland and Russia.

    The Under 17 Elite Round matches will be played in Russia from 26th - 31st March 2014.





    Update: 29th Jan 2014.

    All three games will be played in the city of Kazan at the Rubin Stadium.

    The city is in the Republic of Tatarstan and has a population of 1.4 million people, and is considered to be Russia's third capital.


    Group fixtures:
    26.03.14  - Spain v Russia & Switzerland v Wales
    28.03.14 - Spain v Wales & Russia v Switzerland
    31.03.14 - Switzerland v Spain & Wales v Russia



    Wales are in Pot D for the draw on Thursday. Draw will take place around 10:30am UK time.


    Elite round draw seedings

    Pot A: Germany, England, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Romania

    Pot B: Serbia, Switzerland, France, Italy, Iceland, Scotland, Turkey

    Pot C: Greece, Belgium, Georgia, Czech Republic, Latvia, Russia, Austria

    Pot D: Republic of Ireland, Wales, Norway, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Ukraine
    .


    28 nations have progressed to compete in the second stage Elite round next spring. They have been split into four seeding pots.

    In the draw seven groups will be formed. No nation may meet opponents they played in the qualifying round.

    The hosts will then be selected for each mini-tournament. Only the group winners will progress to join hosts Malta in the finals from 9 to 21 May 2014.
