Joe Hatch (Plymouth) born 2006, Forward and Troy Perrett (Cardiff) born 2006, Midfielder.

Wales youth players on the move?

With Charlie Crew moving to Leeds over the summer, there are two other players attracting interest from Premier league clubs.

Prolific Plymouth forward Joe Hatch who scored over 30 goals last season for the Under 16s, including 2 in 3 games for Wales’ Under 16s against Turkey and Spain during April. This season his tally is already up to 6 goals, and won three penalties in one game for the Under 18s recently. Joe is eligible through his grandmother and is also eligible for 3 other nations.

Fellow Wales Under 16 international and Cardiff City midfielder, Troy Perrett is also attracting interest. Troy is a natural number 8 who gets beyond the forwards. We understand, Troy has already scored 4 goals for his club and his performances have made clubs sit up and take notice. Still only 15, it can't be long before he too is playing up with his club’s Under 18s.

Both players were in the August Wales Under 17 training camp at The Vale, both playing up an age group.

Could these be the next two players to move onto Premier League academies? Let’s wait and see.
