    UNDER 21: Wrexham to host UEFA matches
    Monday 15th August 2011

    The two Under 21 UEFA qualifying matches against Montenegro and the Czech Republic will be played at the Racecourse Ground, Wrexham.

    Fixture dates:
    Saturday 8th October 2011. v. Montenegro. Kick Off 6pm.
    Tuesday 11th October 2011. v. Czech Republic. Kick Off: 7.15pm.

    Wales have won the last three Under 21 matches played at the Racecourse - Two UEFA matches against Hungary (2009), Bosnia-Herzegovina (2009), and a friendly with N Ireland (2011).

    So far in this UEFA Under 21 campaign, Brian Flynn's side have beaten Andorra 1-0 away, next game is away to Montenegro on the 6th September.

    WOMEN: Matikainen to name Women's squad

    MATIKAINEN TO NAME SQUAD
    Wales Women's Teams manager, Jarmo Matikainen, will hold a media conference  on Monday 15th August 2011 at 2.30pm.

    He is set to name the senior women's squad for the friendly match with Northern Ireland in Belfast on the 23rd August 2011. He will also name the women's  Under 19  squad for the friendly matches that week with Belgium. (Tuesday at 6pm at the GenQuip Stadium, Port Talbot, Thursday at mid-day at University of Glamorgan, Treforest).

    Also he will discuss the the UEFA Under 19 women's Finals Tournament to be held in Wales in August 2013, and the work that is involved with developing the squad of players over the next two years.

    Gary Speed’s Wales side suffered their fourth defeat in five games ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro in September.

    The FAW confirms that the match does go ahead the FAW has been in regular contact with the South Wales Police and there are no issues at this time.

    The squad have reported to the team Hotel ahead of the game (Sunday). Owain Tudor Jones (Inverness) added to squad. Out are Sam Vokes (Wolves - ankle injury), Andrew Crofts (Norwich City - ankle injury) and James Collins (Aston Villa - back injury). Ched Evans will not play he has an ankle problem.
