When was the Football Association of Wales founded - 145 years ago
2nd February 1876 has been the adopted founding date, but the FAW are investigating evidence suggesting that the Football Association of Wales and its predecessor the Cambrian Football Association were active in January 1876, and possibly in late 1875.
It could therefore be argued that the meeting held in The Wynnstay, Wrexham on 2nd February 1876 was to sort the arrangements for Wales first International fixture against Scotland in March 1876
