Billy Bodin (Swindon - striker)
Bagged a brace as the Swindon reserves
beat Salisbury City 5-1 on Wednesday night. His first was notched up from a
yard out and the second came just before half time. The Wales U21 international
could have grabbed a hat trick with more composure, but did round the game off
with a through ball for his sides fifth and final
goal.
Elliott Chamberlain
(Leicester - striker) Has been praised
this week by academy manager John Rudkin for his development during his second
year as a scholar. The Wales U21 international has recently signed his first
pro contract. He also scored the reserves this week, although his goal wasn't
enough as the City second string lost 2-1 to Walsall.
"We've been pleased, he's scored a number of
goals. He's a good example, he's worked very hard in his first year, and
blossomed in his second year." John Rudkin, academy manager
Josh Dawkin (Norwich - midfielder) + David
Stephens (Norwich - defender) Both
played for the reserves on Thursday night against Stevenage. With Owain Tudur
Jones and Rhoys Wiggins both moving out on loan, they are now the only Welsh
representatives still at the club. It was to be a good night for the second
string as they ran out 2-0 winners.
Keiron Freeman (Nottingham Forest - defender) Scored one as the U18 team bounced back with a win after
disappointment in the FA Youth Cup against Chelsea. Freeman volleyed home after
10 minutes to bag his sides second in the 3-1 victory over Sheffield
United.
Jonathan North (Watford -
goalkeeper) Has joined Oxford City on
a months loan as he looks to build up his fitness after a returning from
injury. He played 90 minutes and was beaten only once by a
header.
Ashton Taylor (Tranmere -
defender/midfielder) Scored his first
goal at Prenton Park as Tranmere beat Yeovil 2-1. Taylor struck after 52
minutes as Tranmere tried to sneak out of the relegation
zone.
Jonathon Williams (Crystal
Palace - midfielder) Started in
midfield as the Eagles took on Derby County this week in the FA Youth Cup. And
it was the London side that eased into the fifth round with a 2-0 win. |
