Young guns news - Sunday 4 Sep 11

Tom Bender (Colchester - defender) Will get senior game time for Accrington Stanley after agreeing a loan deal with the club until the end of the season. “I made my debut for Colchester at 16, nearly two years ago now. Then I was a bit naïve, thinking that I’d be playing every week and looking back on it now I know that was never going to happen. But being involved with a first team at such a young age makes it very hard to not be involved after that. That’s why it’s good for me to come up here, be involved in the first team a lot more and hopefully get some more games under my belt.” - Tom Bender

Billy Bodin (Swindin/Torquay - striker) Picked up his first appearance last Saturday and a full start in the St Johnstone's Paint Trophy in midweek against Cheltenham Town.
